Election Night Places to Be

I already mentioned The Herkimer. 2 for 1s all day and news on the big screens.

Pi is cancelling trivia night to host an Election Night event, starting at 8:00. News on the big screen and more entertainment t.b.a. $2 blue kamikaze shots & $4 red kamikaze shots (heh!). Show up early for dinner, especially if you want a good seat.

MnIndy, the TC Daily Planet, the 331 Club, and the publishers of GoodnightBush are hosting a get together at the 331 Club. Not a fundraiser. No cover. Buy your own booze. Tap beer and wine by the bottle is half-price. $1.50 premium beer, $2.50 margaritas, and “Raleigh’s famous Texas tacos” for $3 each.

What else? Where are you going to be? Or, if you’re staying home, what will you be doing?

UPDATE: Common Roots is staying open late (not sure how late, but later than their usual weeknight closing time of 10pm) and will have election results up on the big screen. If you’re lucky they’ll still have some Surly Darkness left.

The DFL is having some sort of shindig at the Crowne Plaza in Saint Paul.

Sounds like a lot of MnSpeakers are planning on drinking in some capacity.

  1. I’m hoping that we’ll be at either our place or a friends, running V for Vendetta on one screen and incoming results on another.

I’ll be having BBQ at the Norton-Dilley home. I already expressed concern that I’ll have to cry and that I just hope it’s a good cry and not a bad cry.

I’m tense already just thinking about it.

Don’t worry, I’ll be crying right along with you tonight either way. Everytime I’ve watched one of those videos the Obama campaign sends out I cry and Autumn laughs at me. In other news, I got half off my coffee drink this morning at Dunn Bros in case anyone has yet to have their morning coffee, but wants something more sugary and delicious than the free drip coffee at Starbucks.
