Tickets on Sale for Lord of the Rings Trilogy at the Riverview

The Riverview Theater will, once again, be showing the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. December 21 is the day. They’re saying this year, for the first time, they’ll be showing the extended versions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. You still get the theatrical version of Return of the King.

So your trilogy just got longer and on account of that they’re changing the schedule from years past.

10:00am: Doors open
10:45am-2:15pm: Fellowship of the Ring (Extended)
2:45pm-6:30pm: Two Towers (Extended)
7:00pm-10:20pm: Return of the King

Tickets are now available online or at the box office. It’s $8 in advance or $10 at the door. You can’t buy tickets for individual films.

Totally not my thing, but I respect your right to engage in such nerdery. Related: No costume contest this year. I suppose you could still dress up, but no judging and no prizes.

12 hours in a row of hobbits and rings? I hope I’m far, far out of town on the 21st!
