- Bar Abilene’s new M-F, 4-6pm, happy hour deal is half off everything. Every last thing on the menu and at the bar. And $3 off Sunday brunch if you bring a non-perishable item with you. (I only linked to the City Pages because I know and like their food team. Yay, Rachel and Jim!)

- Woman robbed at gunpoint in Edina. Clutch the pearls, Edina! Not to downplay the seriousness of the incident, because they did attack her in her garage and stuff her in the trunk of her own car. All I’m saying is you should always be aware and take precautions no matter where you are. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is offering a $5000 reward (pdf) for helpful information. Perhaps more interesting is that the Edina Crime Prevention Fund even exists. I’ll just say that it’s nice that the residents of Edina have money to give to the ECPF.

Also, a thank you/hello/much love to my friends at Imagine Louisville. Minnesota Monthly recommends you visit their fair city for respite from the cold that we are all already complaining about even though it isn’t nearly as bad as it will be a month from now.

Sadly, I look at that deal and the first thought that comes to mind is, Bar Abilene must be in trouble.
Thanks for the kind words! Not to suggest a quid pro quo, but there are some Christmas cookies and/or homemade cinnamon schnapps with your name on it.
Homemade cinnamon schnapps?!?! :9
