		<description>There&#039;s so much more to this scene than I had realized. And I pretty much only know what I know from rabidly attending the Fringe Festival. I wouldn&#039;t have thought that I&#039;d like it, but I have really liked everything I&#039;ve seen.

I gather there are differences between &quot;slam&quot; and &quot;spoken word,&quot; but I&#039;m not totally clear on what they are and I don&#039;t think they&#039;re mutually exclusive. Clearly some performers go back and forth between the two. The subject matter runs the gambit from comedy to political.

Anyway. Yeah, it&#039;s pretty cool, and the community here seems to be pretty strong.</description>
