New Feature: fresh.mn Tweets by RSS

So here’s the thing. I know people like the Roundups. But I can only do so many. It’s linkdumping, not writing. Do you really want to read pages full of bulleted lists? I strive to do more than that (believe it or not).

But I find a lot of links. There’s so much cool stuff out there to be shared. I don’t always have the inclination to write a whole post about things, so I’ve been tweeting that stuff and retweeting that which I find via Twitter. But you don’t see any of that if you don’t follow @freshmn on Twitter. I know not everyone’s into the Twitter.

I didn’t want to go the sideblog route like I do on my personal blog, where you get the links like regular posts in the RSS feed but when you visit the page they just show up in the sidebar, because I know there’s probably a lot of folks that just read by RSS and don’t usually visit this page.

I also abhor those Daily/Weekly tweet posts that you can do with the WordPress Twitter Tools plugin. I want to share that stuff with you, but I don’t want to force it on you and that format is just bleh.

So I set up a separate RSS feed for @freshmn tweets. If you want the bonus content, you can subscribe to it separately. I filtered out all the @ replies with Yahoo! Pipes, so you get my original tweets and retweets without the context-less conversational stuff.

If you need to think about it and come back to it later, you can find the feed link over there in the sidebar in the Subscribe section.

Deal? Let me know what you think.
