- Fire and Ice: Seriously frickin’ cool photo at MinnPics.
- I noticed a handful of more right-leaning bloggers – most not even from the midwest let alone Minnesota – following @freshmn on Twitter. Not sure why. I think maybe because @freshmn started following a local person or two that are more right-leaning (not that there’s anything wrong with it), and you know how people click around. Eventually, @Repurblican started following me (me personally!) and I was sure it was a joke. The point of all this is to tell you that Repurblican – the home of the urban Republican – has a localized Twin Cities site: twincities.repurblican.com. If you’re into that sort of thing. It’s currently updated by a lone soul by the name of “minneapolis mike.” About half of what’s there is not Twin Cities-specific, and most of what he does say about the recount is pretty neutral. I report, you decide.
- Albino squirrel!
- Employees of the Little Feet store at Ridgedale
MallCenter are fed up with Abercrombie & Fitch’s odoriferous emanations. I don’t know what’s really the best action to take, but seriously, have you ever walked within 100 feet of an A&F? It reeks. (via @JeffSays) - Robin’s starting a list of things the state can sell off to make us some money. Item #1: The Governor’s Mansion.
- Has the HOURCAR at the 46th St LRT station changed over to a plug-in hybrid yet? That is supposedly on the way. Plus, the solar panels installed at that station are not just powering HOURCARs, they’re powering the LRT (amongst other things).
- Daves Picks: Here’s a good take on Why the “Gun Show Loophole” matters, and why Democrat’s claims that closing the loophole “wouldn’t change anything for law-abiding citizens,” is an outright lie. [endwar] That’s a letter to the editor in the Duluth News Tribune.

I see an albino squirrel in Loring Park all the time… There’s also a black one around them parts too. What a diverse city!
