Fresh.MN’s Tumblr Experiment

FYI, in case you’re way into the Tumbling, I’m experimenting: freshmn.tumblr.com.

I’m doing three things with it right now:

  1. I’m importing tweets from @freshmn, posts from fresh.mn, photos from the fresh.mn flickr group pool, and if there were any youtube videos tagged freshmn those would be in there, too. So that may be a little redundant if you’re already subscribing or reading tweets.
  2. I’m doing that native tumblr thing called reblogging. Some of my favorite local blogs are on tumblr and some of my favorite local people do some tumbling on the side.
  3. I’m lazyblogging stuff that I’ve waited too long to post or have found I don’t actually have much to say about.

So, if tumblr’s your preferred medium, Fresh.MN is there.

P.S. I know I’m, like, a year or two behind on tumblr. I’ve finally realized that it’s a much better facilitator of lazyblogging.

P.P.S. Yes, I know there’s also Posterous.

I like it, especially since it’s not just a dump of the various feeds, but also the few reblogs. And now you can come to the exciting Tumblr meetups!

I had never thought of aggregating so many sources of one’s content into one place but that’s the perfect use of a Tumblr blog. It gives me all kinds of ideas for personal and work uses.

It was Moe that pushed me over the edge when he ditched his “traditional” blog for tumblr. ;-)

Hello! I saw your post about the TCWC on Tumblr via StuffAboutMinneapolis…I don’t think we’ve ever formally met before, but I’m a SopII and fellow Tumblr/internet obsessive. We’ll have to connect at the next practice. Can’t believe the concert is in two weeks. Yikes!
