Localicious – Local Food Radio Show on KFAI

Amanda Balagur, one of my choir peeps, is doing a local food radio show through KFAI’s Wave Project (community access radio).

Here’s the promo for episode 2, coming up this Sunday, Dec 20, from 6-7 pm.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

This Sunday’s episode will feature an interview with JoAnne Berkenkamp, Director of the Local Foods Program at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (www.iatp.org), and music from The Field of Medicine, featuring members of Easy Bean Farm (www.easybeanfarm.com) and Coyote Grange Farm (www.localfoods.umn.edu/thecoyotegrange). In addition, the show will be filmed by local filmmaker Dave Deal, and I will be putting some footage on the Localicious website so you’ll be able to see what the show is like in addition to hearing it!

Listen live by tuning in to KFAI from 6-7 pm this Sunday at 90.3 FM Mpls/106.7 FM St. Paul, listen live online at kfai.org, or listen to the archived show once it’s aired by going to kfai.org/waveproject and clicking on the “Listen Now” button next to the show listing for 12/20/09.

In the first episode of Localicious, Amanda interviewed Chris Taylor, director of the documentary Food Fight. Simple, Good and Tasty told you all about the local screening. Check out Amanda’s interview:
